Hey dudes!

CMJ is done and we’re all back to normal, not anymore exhausted or hungover than usual. I saw Sean Bones, Antlers, Atlas Sound, Broadcast, Local Natives, Hockey, Best Coast (U GO GIRL,) Fanfarlo… I think that’s it. Schmoozefest to the max.

Local Natives were practicing in a phonebooth before they played at Fontana’s. I went with the intentions to stay but I went to Pinkberry to meet a friend. I love harmonies ‘n stuff but I love pineapple+granola on original-flavored froyo more. AND I saw Spike Jonze, who is #2 on my Babes Over Forty list.

CMJ was fun. Can’t wait for next year. Goodbye, Hat!

now, Nana Mouskouri, is someone you need to learn about.  In the 60’s she was the swingingest, hottest Greek beatnik in the world. She invented the Chloe glasses, you know the ones girls named Chloe wear.  Now she does Celine Deon kinda stuff but forget about now. Her band is tight, her pipes are lovely and playful.  The piano tingles, and i think that’s a harmonica.

Apple had a big announcement event yesterday that i was sitting on edge for because I, who have been without a computer for a month and a half, hoped that new Macbooks would be announced.  But no, no new comps, only new iPods.  I have never owned an iPod (i don’t listen to music while moving around, i don’t want to miss anything going on) but this new feature might change my mind:::

Yes, now you can jerk off your iPod.   I got this step by step from the Apple site:

First, tease it with a little side by side for “unpredictability” , growl, iPods love that.
